I attended this event and I must say the redwoods being displayed in the lobby only wet my appetite for what was in store and what a feast it was. So many great trees in one place gets the blood flowing. I picked up a wonderful 3 1/2′ coastal redwood from Zack Shimon from Mendocino Coast Bonsai www.mcbonsai.com and will be working on it this Tuesday with Boon in Alameda. Also saw a few friendly members from both BSSF and BIB. After talking on the phone and emailing I finally met Bolet from Lotus Bonsai Nursey www.lotusbonsai.com up in Placerville, a few of us are off to a tree collecting in Bishop 24-26th, Can you say white pines?
