On Saturday and Sunday February 23 & 24, the Collection North will be having its annual fundraiser at the LakeSide Park Garden Center at 666 Bellvue Ave, Oakland. This is the premier bonsai sale and auction for the year and one of the best opportunities to pick up bonsai material, tools, and supplies for the year. This fundraiser also provides the majority of the Collection North’s operating costs each year. Those interested in beginning the bonsai hobby will find many candidate plants at either the Saturday auction or Sunday Consignment Sale. Many SF Bay area bonsai artists take this opportunity to reduce their bonsai collection and acquire new material.
There are two parts to the fundraiser: an AUCTION on Saturday, February 23, 2008 and a CONSIGNMENT SALE on Sunday, February 24, 2008. Many bonsai nurserymen and other bonsai vendors - SUNDAY ONLY.
The BONSAI ON AUCTION may be viewed online as we receive the plants and photograph them. Photos will be available starting approximately November, 2007.
