Part 1 of the Bonsai Basics class will be a lesson in Cleaning out and trimming juniper material and will be held Saturday April 15th. The fee for the class is $65 which includes two 1-gallon trees, one juniper and one deciduous tree. Each student will perform a basic styling at the first session and in the second session on April 29th will repot one of the trees. The tuition covers both classes. Both classes are 10am - 2pm with a 1/2 hour lunch break and are in our normal meeting space in Strybing Arboretum at 10th Ave and Lincoln.
This class is the best way for people with little or no bonsai experience to get started. Sign up by mailing a check for $65 made out to BSSF to the club (see the contact page) Indicate that it is for the basics class. You must be a member of the club to take the class; New membership is $30 which includes $5 for a club-provided name tag, renewal is $25.
