At our October general meeting Tim Kong and Steve Jang led a repotting workshop. The club provided ample amounts of Tim’s general repotting medium. Tim and Steve spoke to the basics of adding screen and tie down wire to your pots as well as choosing the right pot for a particular tree.

Junipers and flowering trees are okay to repot this time of year and quite a few members took advantage of the evening and the cumulative experience on hand.
Repotting and root work are essential and important practice in bonsai. For those wishing to brush up on techniques check out “Bonsai Today” issue numbers 17,53,58,64,70,82,88.

I believe we will be repeating this program in early springtime, stay tuned.
