Jan 1st: The first part of our meeting will be 2012 BSSF Board election. Please come to the meeting prepared to vote and/or propose new board members. Oct 9th: The Bonsai Society of San Francisco will offer a Beginner's Workshop on Saturday, October 9 from 10AM - 2PM. This workshop will cover basic bonsai principles, design, and techniques. The workshop fee is $65 for members and $65 + BSSF membership fee for non-members. The cost of the workshop covers materials, a tree, and bonsai pot. Lunch is included. Space is limited to 10 people. In June take some time to sit down and wire all the new growth on your trees.  Wiring is the fastest way to make a branch useful.  Instead of cutting it off wire it!
