Jun 1st: The Bay Area Satsuki Aiokokai will hold its 14th annual Satsuki (Japanese Azaleas) bonsai show at the Lakeside Park Garden Center, 666 Bellevue Ave. May 31st and June 1st. Jun 1st: The Monterey Bonsai Club would like to extend an invitation to all club members and friends to join them in celebrating their 45th annual bonsai show. Apr 10th: April General Meeting Cotoneasters are ideal candidates for small bonsai. Their stems are packed with small leaves and back-bud over the entire trunk. As an added bonus, they produce hundreds of small flowers in the spring that lead to bright red berries the rest of the year.
