We are delighted to be opening two new Special Exhibits on Tuesday, January 29. An exciting and rare exhibit of Chinese penjing will make its debut at the Conservatory. This ancient art form originated in the Tang Dynasty around 600 AD and is considered to be the predecessor of Japanese bonsai. Ten custom-created miniature plant landscapes will be featured in the Aquatics Gallery. Dramatic stone sculptures, imported from Shanghai, are planted with dwarf, compact growing trees and shrubs to depict a natural scene. You won’t want to miss this exciting exhibit!
